Over the river and through the woods to TreeFest! we will go. And it’s a far cry from a trip to Grandma’s house. The all-day reggae fest features two stages at Brick House Kitchen with performances from TreeHouse!, the Dunder Chiefs, AllAreOne, Ben Fagan and the Holy City Hooligans, and more. “I knew this was the right setting to throw our own community festival,” says Jeremy Anderson, vocalist of the band TreeHouse! “We saw a land full of towering oak trees, and we felt a special energy about the place.” The day will start out with a community drum and circle jam where you can bring your own percussion instrument and join in on the rhythm. Expect to find vendors such as Rowdy Roots, the Hookahologist, J. Vazzano’s Visions, and Knotti Roots. If you’re feeling particularly crafty, there’ll be live paintings from artists, and crafters will be bringing out their creations. And in true hippie fashion, you can participate in hula hooping and beach ball tossing. The day ends with a silent disco presented by Inkahootz.
