Comedy, City Picks

When: Sun., Dec. 28, 8 p.m. 2014

Very few things get us as excited as the words “free pizza.” And when the Tin Roof hosts its monthly comedy night the fact that free pie is paired with free comedy, well, it doesn’t get much better than that. Emceed by comedian Jason Groce, the comedy night features six comedians taking the stage. The only rule of the night is that it has to be five minutes of new comedy — no old shtick here. In the past top Charleston comedians, including Jeremy McLellan, Dusty Slay, Tim Hoeckel, Lily Slay, and others, have taken the stage. This go-around, the lineup won’t be finalized until the week of the event, but you can bet on some funny. The show starts at 9 p.m. and doors open at 8 p.m. And if you want that free pizza, it’s best to get there as early as possible.
