Uncle Sam Jam

When: Wed., July 4, 7 p.m. 2012

This Fourth of July, don’t you think it would be appropriate to party with America’s favorite uncle? No, not Uncle Buck — we’re talking about good ole’ Uncle Sam. The Mt. Pleasant Pier will provide a hot spot for anyone looking to let loose to celebrate Independence Day with their Uncle Sam Jam. Permanent Vacation will perform into the night at the end of the pier, so you’ll have some music to groove to while you watch the fireworks display in the Charleston Harbor, just beyond the Ravenel Bridge. Beverages, made-to-order sandwiches, hand-spun milkshakes, and snacks will also be available at the pier’s Riverwatch Café. The gates open at 7 p.m. and music starts at 8 p.m.

Price: $8/advance for Charleston County residents, $10/door
