Angelique Kerber defends her singles championship title at the 2016 Volvo Car Open tennis tourney starting this Saturday. International players are coming from all over the world for a chance at the title, as well as the doubles championship title. The matches take place over a week, along with non-tennis activities for sports newbies and tennis pros alike. Family weekend is Saturday and Sunday, featuring magicians, jugglers, and bounce houses for children’s (and adults’) entertainment. Guests can also check out acclaimed trampoline performers FlippinOut, the K’Otics, and Peace, Love, Hiphop and Kyle. On Mon. April 4, attendees can learn how to play Pickleball: A sport that features aspects of tennis, ping pong, and badmitton. Tuesday is the Girl Talk Luncheon presented by Lisette L Montreal, where a pair of tennis players and fashion designers will chat with visitors over a catered lunch.
