All good things must come to an end, and this summer’s Bud Light Lime Bikini Bash is one of those things. But there’s also a few beginnings this weekend, like the grand opening of Creative Spark’s Clay Cottage and Art Studio and the First Day Festival, which will kick off the new school year.

I’m not too embarrassed to admit that my first exposure to Alison Krauss was via the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV show soundtrack. And there's always Hootie and the Blowfish's Homegrown Benefit.

A cocktail or five should keep you cool at this month’s Second Sundays on King Street.

If the Charleston Battery win their game this Friday, they’ll advance to the USL PRO playoffs. The stakes aren’t quite as high at this weekend’s RiverDogs games.

Jerry Seinfeld’s in town this weekend. No big deal. If you’re looking for some small-scale comedy, Kenny Z is here as well, and there’s also Bingo Improv, Blast Off?, and Improv Riot shows.

The Summer at St. John’s Concert Series presents Lindsay Welch, and the Cooper School Children’s Music Concert will feature Hazel Ketchum of the Hungry Monks.

Annie, Kicking a Dead Horse, and South Pacific all continue.

Las Olas Surf Shop presents Kai Neville’s new film project Lost Atlas at Fuel. Park Circle films has the doc Resilience, and the Holy Cow Yoga Center will screen Forks Over Knives.

Summer is almost over, but that doesn’t mean your summer reading list has to fall by the wayside. Stock up on books at the Friends of the Library Cart Sale or the Lowcountry Senior Center Book Sale.

Sea Kayak Carolina will lead a Full Moon Paddle on the Folly River and Oak Island Creek. We’re sure it won’t be that spooky, and definitely not as spooky as the Moonlight Mixer must be. (I kid.)

You’ve been spending way too much time in the sun lately. Might as well get one of the free skin screenings at Splash Zone Waterpark.

And Charleston Young Professionals celebrate their fifth anniversary. Mazel tov!
