This weekend, you can help out all sorts of charities. The Coastal Center Cup will feature a two-day silent auction and golf tournament, Cheers to Breathing will host a bar event for Cystic Fibrosis, Slim Down the South Celebrity Softball Challenge will donate to Louie's Kids and Run Buddies, and Books-a-Million will host the Carolina Autism Fundraiser. After Sunday, you'll be calling yourself Mr. Deeds.

Celebrate local history all weekend long with the Gullah/Geechee Nation International Music and Movement Festival.

Witness the ultimate smackdown at the Roller Derby Intraleague Tournament Final Round Robin.

And speaking of smackdowns, Theatre 99 will host the Improv Smackdown, along with a weekend jammed with the Improv Riot, and a production of MRSOE!

Still in the theatrical spirit? Get your monologues and headshots ready, and check out the What If? Productions Auditions.

The Olde North Charleston Picture House will offer computer relationship fun with FUNimation at the Movies: Chobits.

There are four new local art exhibits opening this weekend. Robert Lange Studios will host work by Fred Jamar in Crisscrossing, and Carolina One Real Estate will open the Leslie Pratt-Thomas Exhibit. This is the Sun will showcase art by Kathryn Dale Barton, and landscapes by Judy Fuller make up Shades of Summer. And don't forget First Fridays on Gallery Row.

Outdoorsmen, don't think we forgot about you. Get schooled on some wetland science with Explore the Carolina Bays. Mariners, test out some new sea vessels at the Mercury Outboard Demo.

Live music is at no shortage, either. Megan Jean and the KFB are back from their tour, and they're playing at the Sparrow with Crystal Bright and the Silver Hands. Also check out Whiskey Diablo, and drop by the Music Farm for Foxy Shazam with Longreef, Bully Pulpit.
