School is finished, summer is here, and now it’s your responsibility to make sure your child is entertained. That may sound like a challenge, but don’t worry — Wonder Works has your back. Their second annual toy festival, Wonderfest, is an event for the whole family. “We are going to have so much fun,” says Wonder Works operational manager Amanda Burch. “We are going to have local child singers, bands, and authors signing books. There will be fun for everyone.” This event aims to bring families together while also benefiting four local charities that help children: MUSC’s Happy Wheels, Abby’s Friends, Keys for Hope, and Hugs for Harper. Attendees will enjoy free food, entertainment, and toy demonstrations by some of the top companies in the country. Other attractions for the kids include arts and crafts, jump castles, obstacle courses, Lego building tables, face painting, pony rides, and a dunking booth. The best part is that every child leaves with a free toy. Pet Helpers will also be there for anyone looking to adopt a new friend.
