Wellness, City Picks

When: Thu., April 3, 6:30 p.m. 2014

We understand the health aspect of yoga, but sometimes it’s just too quiet and peaceful. We need more action, more noise. Thankfully, Yogapop understands. This event fuses yoga and live musical performances for a celebration of wellness and culture. On Thursday, the Bus Shed will be transformed into a Yoga Village when Bethany Bubenzer of Charleston Power Yoga leads a 60-minute yoga class, alongside beats from DJ Moo Moo. “Our yoga teacher for the night, has an all-levels, lighthearted class in the works,” says YogaPop event organizer Hilary Johnson. “We guarantee your body and mind will feel amazing after 60 minutes with Bethany and DJ Moo Moo.” And great thing those yoga pants are made of stretchy Lycra because the Yoga Village will be filled with food from Bay Street Biergarten, Verde, King of Pops, and others. After you get your sweat on, get ready for Flight of the Phoenix and Lectra Lust to take the stage. It’ll be a night of oms, noms, and jams — and lots of downward facing dogs.
