Zero-K Race to the Bar

When: Thu., April 25 2013

Who says you can’t have a race without running? The Zero-K Race to the Bar is the perfect chance for those out of shape, lazy track stars who want to skip the whole running thing and head straight to the post-race party. Participants will compete in beer trivia as well as tournaments for beer pong, flip cup, and corn hole. The finish line is the bar, where you can quench your beer lust with Thirsty Thursday specials. Anyone 21 and older can register online, and your race packet will include a T-shirt, race bib, post-race dinner, and admission to the awards ceremony. Award categories include the best beer belly, most in need of new running shoes, and best costume, but the top prize will go to the person who’s the most excited to start drinking. After the Zero-K, Blind Tiger is hosting a post-post-race party at their bar on Broad Street. “There will be free transportation by the S.C. Bar Car, because this is strictly a fun drinking party,” says RiverDogs special events manager Kristen Wolfe. “We want everyone to enjoy the entire party but be safe doing it.” Register soon, because we’ve heard they’re capping registration at 100 participants.
