Magar's millinery works have become a huge hit everywhere from the Lowcountry to big-city boutiques, and she was recently named one of Country Living's 2009 Women Entrepreneurs. The June issue of "celebrates six women who have showcased creativity, dedication, a business model with legs — and product that is pure Country Living," according to the press release. Magar's artistic sense and edgy designs have put a new spin on your mother's idea of Sunday hat. She's somehow managed to successfully combine classic craftsmanship with fresh and chic design. In addition to appearing in their June issue, Magar will also be attending the "Country Living Women Entrepreneurs: A Celebration of Creativity" event in Chicago later this month. Guests will be treated to seminar-like sessions offering adivice and inspirational stories from Magar and several other entrepreneurs.
