Fashion Week is just over a week away, and the city’s getting geared up with a handful of sales and shopping events. Here are a few highlights.

Starting Mon. March 8, many local retailers are running sales and promotions to help you get outfitted for CFW. Just mention Go Fashion at stores like II Brunettes, House of Sage, Luna, Bashful Boutique, and more to get special deals through March 14.

Caviar & Bananas is hosting a Tasshki trunk show on Wed. March 10. Check out the handbags while enjoying wine by the glass and complimentary hors d’oeuvres. Also Wednesday, Boutique NV hosts a bittersweet event — they’re closing their doors, but doing it in style with 75 percent off the entire store from 6-8 p.m.

Thurs. March 11, Lori Wyatt hosts a Wine and Wear Preview Night at Aster Hall.

On Fri. March 12, you’ll have to choose between the official CFW kick-off party hosted by Margo Kaufman Gallery called Fashion Is Art ($20), or the Pre-Fashion Week Party at Aloft hosted by Eye Level Art and Cavortress (free).

On Sun. March 14, Mew Design and Mamie Ruth host a fashion show at Blu to benefit Surfers Healing. Also that day, the “Fasten”ating art exhibit opens at the Art Institute.

The following week, Cynthia Rowley herself hosts a fashion event in her store on Tues. March 16. Shop, enjoy cocktails, and pick up a copy of Rowley’s latest book. Then on Wed. March 17, Logan Neitzel of Project Runway fame hosts a trunk show at Hampden Clothing. Not to be outdone, Carol Hannah Whitfield hosts a bridal trunk show (by appointment only) at Maddison Row on Sun. March 21.
