King Street has been a lot less smelly since Abercrombie & Fitch closed up shop a few months ago. Soon after they left, we started hearing rumors that boho-chic clothing-and-housewares paradise Anthropologie would be taking their place, but reps were mum (and a little rude) when we asked.
But our suspicions weren't unfounded. The Post and Courier reports today that the store is indeed moving in to the space by Oct. 1. They say the store has signed a 10-year lease.
This is big news for local Anthropologie fanatics who've had to drive to Myrtle Beach to get their fix. We expect this opening to be on par with Forever 21 in terms of shoppers' excitement.
